Questions Answered About the $8,000. Homebuyer Tax Credit
Rob Dietz, Ph.D. discusses the $8,000 first-time home buyer tax credit in this video interview provided by the National Association of Home Builders.

What does the $8,000 tax credit mean for you?

Uncle Sam

  • Buy a home and you may qualify for the $8,000 tax credit on your 2009 taxes
  • Even if you don't owe $8,000 in taxes, you may receive a refund check for the difference
  • You or your spouse can't have previously owned a home in the last 3 years
  • You cannot make more than $75,000 adjusted gross income, or if married, $150,000 adjusted gross income
  • The home that you purchase has to be your primary residence
  • If you sell the property within 3 years, you will have to repay the money back to the government.  If not, the money is yours to keep with no strings attached.
  • Consult your tax advisor for more details.
  • Consult your local expert Realtor® when you're ready to start shopping for that new home!

Bill:  I think he did as well!  I read that only about 50% of the potential first time homebuyers even KNOW about this so, I thought I'd blog about it to spread the word.  This is a fantastic offer and won't last much longer!

Charles:  Well, thank you!  Rob Dietz did it all for me!  I seriously just want to get the word out there for all first time homebuyers to have the knowledge that this won't last forever!

Travis:  Thanks so much for the re-blog!  The more, the merrier, right?!

Craig:  I am SO with you on that!  EVERYONE needs to spread the news so that first timers can take advantage of this great offering--and NOW!

Don:  Have at it--it's a free download from YouTube and the NHBA provided me the idea!

Mama Liz:  Thank you for re-blogging--the more exposure this offer gets, hopefully some of these first time homebuyers will jump off the fence in the next couple of months--as long as they're moved in by Dec. 31!!

Hi Debe!  The video is one of the best  I have seen to explain the tax credit, there is so many buyers that do not even know about the $8000 tax credit and hopefully we will reach them.  It is a once in a lifetime opportunity for buyers.  I have re-blogged this and hopefully we will reach many more that do not know about the tax credit.  Thanks for posting.
