Over the last few years, the housing industry has been in turmoil over most of the world, not just here in the US. The great thing in this turmoil is that home prices are lower in most areas that we have seen for some time. Finding a market that will rebound from the hard hit this crisis has dealt is the trick of the trade.

Orlando is one of those markets. Whether you are looking for Condos in Orlando Fl or a single family home in Lake Mary, I am sure that there is something well worth the investment in that area. With that said, these homes and/or condos are not going to come looking for you. You need to get out and check out what Orlando has to offer.

For those of you that do not realize or know this, Orlando is home to the Magic, a NBA franchise. In the outskirts of Orlando is Universal Studios as well as all of the Disney Theme Parks. Orlando is also home to the Predators, an Arena Football team. With attractions like this, investing in a condo, town home, or single family home in the Orlando area would seem to be a smart bet.

Danny, the Predators?  Sounds like a pretty intimidating name for any sports franchise!

Danny -  Florida seems ripe for Real Estate Investors.  That written, I really wish the lending guidelines (Institutions) would loosen up for capable & experienced Real Estate Investors.  That could clean up a lot of inventory in a responsible fashion.

Danny - great mention on Orlando. We have agents that serve that market and I can tell you, they have been experiencing multiple offer syndrome there! That should tell everyone what the pricing is like! It is a great time to buy in Orlando...other than the sports teams and the hospitality industry with all the theme parks, they also have business and industry with some well known companies. Investors needed and welcome!

Pat, they are intimidating.

Chanda, I currently live in Tennessee. Florida has a special place in my heart as I have spent almost a a 4th of my 42+ years on this Earth there.

Pat, they have a lot to be proud about.

Jason, I agree.

Cris, I could not agree more.

BLRGuy, it is the perfect time, that I 100% agree with.

Orlando is a great place to invest now, and I think the uptick is going to happen sooner than people would believe. But everyone knows Florida is a good long-term investment. And as the Sunshine State gets more populated and bought-out, the new "it" retirement state will and already is becoming Arizona. Right now the housing market down there is completely shot, so it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to buy that retirement or investment property that will keep on paying you back for years to come. A 3B/2B with a pool in Phoenix for $180K? Come on, that's insane. There's also a new direct lender out there, Intercontinental Capital Group, that just opened an office that's keen on lending to first time investors. It's worth the cheap airfare to get there, survey the land, make an investment and then kick back and get rich once this housing mess starts evening itself out.
