An agent who I worked with recently criticized a motivational quote that I had in some advertising material. I responded by saying that if she didn't like my quotes, should ought to suggest some for the next round.

Here are the quotes she suggested. What do you think? Do you have any additional suggestions?

Do not wait to strike till the iron is hot; but make it hot by striking.
William B. Sprague

He who hesitates is lost.
Proverb

The best way out is always through.
Robert Frost

You cannot plough a field by turning it over in your mind.

Knowing is not enough; we must apply.
Willing is not enough; we must do.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Constant dripping hollows out a stone.
Lucretius

The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

Hi Melissa,

If there's one thing I love, It's a good motivational quote! I'm always updating Twitter and Facebook with good motivational quotes!

Please remember me if you learn of anyone moving to "The OC" and I will do the same!

I like the last one but it's probably a bit blunt for promotion material.

She may not like your quotes, but do you?  That is what is important in believing in what you are writing.... My favorite is

"It's not the amount of breaths we take... but the moments that take our breath away"

The right home does that...

Everybody is different and depending on the place they mentally and emotionally reside in at the time, certain quotes may have great meaning to them. All of the above quotes are great, however you should go with what speaks to you. For me, personally, because I am facing a difficult situation at present this quotes really speaks to me: "I am at peace even though I can't predict the future." While it probably isn't a quote you would want to use on advertisement materials, I strongly encourage you to go with what you like and with what speaks to you.

I think they are all great.  As a few have said already, it has to speak to your heart and philosophy or it will fall flat and no one will believe it.  If you Google "motivational quotes" you will most likely get many others to choose from.

I think that as long as you feel that your ideas are good, and you stand by them-that's what is important.  Good luck!  Have a wonderful and productive day.
