In this day of 'instant', we all feel that when we make a call, YOU SHOULD BE THERE!"  I was handed a business card from an agent yesterday.  He had 6 different phone numbers in which to reach him.  "6"!

With technology as it is, who wants to dial 6 numbers to try and find you.  I have 2 and the 2nd is forwarded to the first, so all you have to do is call one number to find me.  I will answer unless i am with a client or in a place I needed to shut the phone off.

I don't know about anyone else, but I would give up after 3 numbers if I didn't find you!

A Man went into the Dr. and was told by the Dr.  "I have bad news and Really Bad news."

"Well, give me the bad news first." repleid the guy.

"You only have 24 hrs to live", said the Doc.  "Wow, what's the Really bad news", moaned the guy.

"I have been trying to call you since yesterday!

William,

6 phone numbers is pretty ridiculous.  I feel two is pretty normal, an office and cell number.

Bill that's funny, but good luck trying to get a doctor on the phone you might just die trying. If you call my office and it goes to voice mail I'm out or we are closed, if you call my cell and it goes to voice mail...then the question is what time are you trying to reach me anyway?

Bill, I am with you...2 numbers and that is enough for me to remember to give out!

HiBill~  I can't even imagine putting more than one or two phone numbers on a business card!  Most people would never dial that many to start with.  I am very easy for my clients to get a hold of. If they don't reach me for some reason, I always call back within the hour.

Bill, 2 numbers is good enough for me. 1 would suffice if it weren't for the MLS rules.

Great stuff, Bill!

What's really sad is when they have 6 numbers, and don't answer a darned one of those!

No one needs to give out that many on a business card - it's ridiculous - two should be sufficient.

Very interesting example.

I have 2 numbers. 1 phone and 1 fax. I cant imagine how much space is needed on the business card for all of that numbers. Sometimes when there is too much information, it's just information overload.

I just took the fax number off of my business cards. We receive so few faxes nowadays, it just added to the clutter on the card.

Loreena...You are right...just clutter

Tim...I don't have a fax on mine either.  Most people E-Mail nowdays!

I try my best to make my self available to anyone who is trying to reach me. If you don't get in touch with me, just leave a message and I can assure you quick returned call.

With your clients, I think the eaiser the better when they are trying to contact you.

6 is way too many, I have 2 and I believe that is sufficent, like some of the others leave a message and I will call back as soon as I am able to.
