wow...what a big stretch of beach there! Not too crowded either...must be nice :)

I am excited to see this beach! Of course when I first arrive it will be in December so I might not enjoy it as much as next summer!

Yes, Hawaii doesn't have anymore wide beaches! Looks like a great day out there. Funny how I forget about NC and it's beautiful beaches since I don't get out of the mountains much.

It must be nice being on the beach this time of day. That looks like a very big beach in Onslow County,NC. Great post.

Hi Cynthia, I have been on your wonderful wide beaches! They are great and never crowded..

Cynthia, I LOVED the North Carolina coastline!! When we moved here my parents took our son down to Galveston and let's just say he was disgusted! I don't know if you have been to our beaches but they are very muddy. It was a shock after your beautiful beaches.

Cynthia, I am also surprised they're not crowded! How lucky, it's difficult to find space at Jones Beach these days....

Our beaches are crowded in just a few places, but they look similar to this shot a majority of the time. Bet you had a really relaxing time!

Those of us that are spoiled thinking California and Florida have the best beaches probably haven't been to many of these other ones. Nice stretch of uncluttered and unspoiled beach.

The beach sounds like a fantastic idea..

You need to come down out of the mountains and rediscover the coast! It is as beautiful as your mountains just in a different way.

We are so fortunate to have such wide and beautiful beaches in North Carolina. The hurricanes of the 90s took much sand away but for the most part, it's come back either naturally and by renourishment.

True, not crowded as compared to many other beaches. Glad to hear you have experienced our beaches for yourself.
