Short Sale Basics. Let the Class Begin!!!

Broker Bryant Hi folks. Did you know I have been giving away free information on Active Rain for three years? Just about everything I know about Real Estate I have shared and have never asked for anything in return. Today, is going to be different.

Starting Saturday June 27th at 11:00 am Wendy Rulnick and I, Broker Bryant, will be launching “Short Sale Basics”. This will be a 5 part, very comprehensive, course on Short Sales.

Wendy Rulnick Wendy and I will be your instructors. Our goal is to help as many REALTORS® as we can become better at handling Short Sales. By empowering you we can do our small part to help Mr and Mrs Homeowner get through these difficult times. Together we CAN make a difference.

Short Sale Basics is being presented as a Webinar. Each class will be 60-90 minutes long. As students you will be able to call in by phone or listen in on the Internet. We will take questions in advance of each class and will try to answer as many as we can during the session.

These sessions are NOT for trying to sell you a product. Instead these are training classes. If you attend all 5 classes you will have the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed at Short Sales. You will be in a position to help folks and make a good income while doing so. We want you to succeed and we'll be there to help you in any way we can.

Wendy and I will both be available during and after the course to answer any questions you may have as you start working with Short Sales.

Folks as you can see we have a lot of information to cover. There will be course materials sent to you in advance of each session.

OK since I already mentioned this is not free…you’re probably wondering how much it is?

The cost is $59 per session or you can purchase the series for $297. All sessions will be recorded and given to you as a MP3 file so you can go back and listen at your leisure. AND....you will get a membership for our Short Sale Networking site.

The course is guaranteed. If for any reason you feel you didn’t get your money's worth just let us know and we will give you a full refund. All we ask is that you are honest with us and yourself. Let us know where we let you down so we can improve.

Wendy and I are just like you, we both work Real Estate full time. We both handle our own Short Sales from beginning to end. Wendy has tons of experience and is a wealth of information. My job will be to get this information from her and present it to you in a no nonsense style so we can all learn together.

Short Sales are going to be around for years to come. If you are not interested in listing them that’s OK. You may still be selling some on the Buyer side. This course will give you the knowledge needed to assist your Buyer in choosing the right property. Knowledge is power.

I can already see I’m going to need to write a few more posts about this. This one is waaaay too long.

Hi Loreena. That is correct. Each session will be available on MP3. You have the option of attending 'live" or just attending on your own time. EASTERN TIME

Smart move buster. Though I admit I've bookmarked most of your freebies over the years in case I ever came up short :) You remind me of my superstitious sellers and you know why.... wink wink!

If I were doing these right now, I would absolutely be stuffing dollars in your shorts. If anyone can present a more thorough, common sense and enjoyable series of classes, I have yet to meet them.

BB - I was wondering when you were going to enter the For Profit sector. Sounds like a great line-up of learning.

Bryant what a fabulous idea from you and Wendy. For those Agents who really have the desire to help distressed Sellers, I can't think of anyone more qualified for them to learn from. You two are definately in the know! Best to you both. I'm sure it will be a huge success!

Great training idea BB for those focusing on that area, plus the recording is very helpful for when you can't synch up with the class.

Good for you. Agents need this. I do short sale trainings here for those looking to assist sellers and just for those looking to understand them better to advise their buyers. Even if an agent doesn't plan to specialize in short sales, they need the basics for when their customer asks.

I have been handleing mine, too much trouble to refer them out to all those "experts". They don't care as much as we do, we see the sellers face to face and know their situation. Sounds great, I am sure it will be successful.

This should be a good resource for those who need to learn more about short sales. A lot of folks call themselves short sales experts, but they don't have a clue. Now, they will have a clue!

I looked up the article in Kiplinger's and have experience with short sales on both the selling and buying side. I have taken a class which helped. I'm considering signing up for yours.

I know you two will provide thorough training. It is always best to get information from someone who has actual experience in the subject matter because the little nuances will be covered.

BB -Great idea. Hopefully I'll have some money by the time it starts. BTw, does this series assume that the laws governing short sale transactions are the same across state lines?

I am very curious how the business side goes. So far there is a lot of praise from those who know everything about Short Sales, and they are happy that you would teach those who don;t know, but I do not know where they are (LOL)

Hi BB... Thank you to both you and Wendy for sharing your knowledge with those who want to learn. The most common problem I encounter with unsuccessful Short Sales comes as a result of agents who do not understand how to coordinate them.

At $97 for your series it is a GENUINE bargain. And as someone who has been specializing in Short Sales for over 5 years I can assure anyone that you are teaching the necessary curriculum to successfully do Short Sales. I cover the same basic topics in a much more condensed manner for agents in my office.

WOW!!! I'm so excited now I can't stand it. This has been in the works for quite awhile. I've been struggling with jumping into the webinar business and then I teamed up with Wendy and BAM!!!! Here we are. By the way if you haven't had the opportunity to check out Wendy's blog, please do. She's awesome and very very experienced with short sales. I'm really looking forward to picking her brain.

The webinar is going to be incredible.

For those that asked, The entire course is being recorded. The MP3s and course materials will be available on a website we are in the process of setting up. The website will be a Business Network for Short Sale specialists. You will be able to purchase the course or just buy a membership to the network.

The network will be a place to get constant support with your short sales. We won't leave you hanging. I promise. We want to make a difference.

Could you please make sure that you have a section on why Realtors should disclose short sales? I showed a house yesterday, not listed as a short sale. The owners had accidently left out a letter showing six months of payments not made to the mortgage company. This is happening too often. I appreciate your dedication to education and I am glad you are doing this, just don't sell TLW short!

I too believe you both are going to be able to help many...as many others I've read your 'stuff' for a couple of years now...and have learned a lot. You are one of the best teachers and have made it so it's understandable with your examples etc.

What a great idea! Even though we are in the Flooring end, alot of customers have mentioned short sales instead of foreclosure! Way to go!

BB - wonderful!! I'm signing up right now! I've taken a short course but all the information was given in general terms. I think (correct me if I am wrong) that your course will almost walk us through a short sale transaction. That's what I need!!

Even if you are not interested in taking a short sale listings, sooner or later you'll find yourself confronted with a short sale on the buyer's side. Can't avoid it. If you understand the process, you can guide your buyer through this process better and hopefully come to a closing faster!

Great idea. The more people we train to do short sales properly, the quicker the economic recovery. Thank you for helping in the process. I teach a short sale class in North Carolina for continuing education credit, so I am trying to do my part. Thank you for aiding the cause. By the way, I maintain a Wordpress website that is a resource to exchange information and help people learn about short sales, which might be an additional asset to your course, as it constantly evolves with the latest information and we respond to questions and comments from Realtors. Great ideal Bryant! Instead of learning Short Sale the hard way like most of us do, it's so nice to have somebody knowledgeable like yourself offering those valuable lessons from the beginning. I know people who signed up for this series will benefit greatly from your teaching. Good Luck!

Hey guys I really appreciate all of your suppport. Students are rolling in!!! I have been wanting to get more involved with educating for a couple of years now. It just seemed like I kept having one set back after another. Finally I decided to bring Wendy on board and....we now have a webinar.

Also, our Short Sale Network is just about ready to launch as well. This will be a place for all of us to gather, swap short sale war stories and help and support each other. So if the webinar classes are not for you stay tuned. We have lots more comimg.
