Evening Myrl,  Very nicely composed.  Did you use a special filter for shooting into direct sunlight ?

Sharon, Marti, Konnie, Debra, Andrea, Barbara, Hannah, Patricia, and June - I'm so glad you found the picture pleasing.  Thank you so much for your kind words and for visiting!

Marchel - I believe White Rock Road is one of the longest roads in Sacramento County.  And it actually extends into El Dorado County, where this shot is taken.  A couple of miles away from it's Eastern end, is a very large accummulation of enormous white rocks, which I believe to probably be Quartz.  I would have liked to have taken a picture of them, but late April, when I took this picture is when the Rattlesnakes begin to meander around up there.  They are generally hungry and angry then, so I'll wait until another time to take that shot:-)

Michael - I hoped the posts would give some reference to the surrounding area.

Steve - There is nothing like the warm colors of dawn and sunset.

Bill - I used no special filter.  The dawn hadn't quite cleared the foothills in the background yet.  Also, by using the posts in the foreground a bit to block some of the light, and also the morning misty dew, I was able to capture it as I did.

Reminds me of a scene from a movie, Myrl. The fence posts in the foreground and the foreverness ( new word )in the background makes for one awesome photo.

Myrl,

You captured a great photo at dawn.   I love the curves of the road, the lines of the posts and fence as well as the warm colors.  Thanks for sharing.

Hey, Myrl. That looks like it's out in the boondocks. Where are the people? The malls? The restaurants? Shopping? LOL

Hi Myrl, I see that you are an early riser, as you always catch beautiful pictures in the pre dawn hours.

Absolutely gorgeous! I am always jealous of sunrise photos - I think I have 2 sunrise shots- getting up that early is sooooo painful for me! LOL This is a wonderful composition, Myrl!

William - I like your new word, "foreverness."  I foresee it being used a great deal in the future:-)

Trey - Well thank you Kind Sir!  And you always have the nicest comments:-)

Gerry, Lori, Gail, Toula, Tony and Darcy - I'm glad the picture was pleasing to you. . .Thanks for visiting!

Jim - Actually, that road runs fairly parallel to Highway 50 between Sacramento and El Dorado Hills.  There's a number of high-tech companies in the vacinity, and it's often used as a short-cut when the highway is busy.  This shot was taken early morning - before dawn.  But in another hour after that, the road becomes busy.

Sandy - Yes, I am a morning person.  In fact I keep really weird hours.  Often I'll wake around 4:30 am, and be raring to go, but no one is willing to get up to go with me - other than the camera:-)

Debi - Well thanks.  Considering these words came from you (a pro), I consider it a real compliment.
