Building Code Adopted in Barry County
Cassville's City Council has adopted the 2006 International Building Code as part of the municipal ordinances.
Covering only the city, and not Barry County, the building codes information may be obtained by calling the City Building Inspector at City Hall.
The new ordinance covers flood resistance construction, patio covers, grading, as well as property maintenance codes, fire prevention codes, mechanical, electrical and plumbing guidelines for meeting the minimum requirements for construction.
Some area residents are hopeing that Cassville's Building Codes will encourage the ordinances be adopted for all of Barry County.
