Golden Ears Bridge - the $800 million project connecting Langley and Maple Ridge - will open to traffic on June 16, 2009. The six-lane bridge was originally scheduled to open July 1 but construction finished weeks ahead of schedule. This six-lane toll bridge spanning the Fraser River near the Surrey-Langley and Pitt Meadows-Maple Ridge borders is expected to transform traffic patterns cut travel time between the cities.
