Norma - That phone call from that agent says it all in how highly your reputation is regarded.  It's something you don't see too often today and you should be applauded for the great broker you are!

It sounds like the Golden Rule is still working.  Congratulations on the call.

My wise old grandmother taught me to keep track of my major competition because some day I might need them. I didn't really realize what she meant until almost 20 years later when I sold one of my businesses to one of my competitors. Best competitor I ever knew! The money I made allowed me to move to San Diego and retire. Fortunately or unfortunately, I got tired of retirement since there wasn't anything to do, and when there was, there wasn't anyone to do it with. It can be very lonely in retirement.

I call that the giving to get philosophy, the more you give, the more you get. It works with charity as well, the more you give, the more you will get back.
