I have the honor of being a judge for this little contest, and it seems like it could be a lot of fun. So dust off the cameras, pencils and paper, or old pictures and make sure you take part.

We are tired of looking at the same old A/R provide silhouette everytime we go to the Thankful Thursdays group. So, in order to remedy that situation:

Here it is, the Thankful Thursdays group picture contest.

The rules are simple:

Submit a photo, a drawing, or some other form of artwork (ok, has to be in jpg format) in a post. That has in the title: Thankful Thursdays - A Vision of Thanks (you can add anything else to your title that you feel appropriate. It can be part of a Thankful Thursdays post, which I encourage, or just an entry on it's own.

Must be posted to the Thankful Thursdays and Whacked groups, as well as at least two other groups.

The image can reflect anything, however, any political posts will not qualify. Note: a picture of the Declaration of Independance, Washington Monument, Military Graveyard, historical figure, etc would not be a political post unless a political statement is included. A post pro or con, or endorsing a polical person, position, etc. would be political.

That is pretty much the guidelines, now for the particulars.

Contest starts Thursday, June 11, 2009 and runs through July 11, 2009

1000 points will be awarded to the winning entry.

All other entries will get 100 points.

You can submit as many entries as you want, but will still only get 100 points.

All entries will be reviewed and the winner decided by a panel of 3 independant and thoroughly honest judges who cannot be bribed, bought, ensorcelled, or blackmailed to affect the outcome of the contest. But, they have all agreed to share any bribes with me;^)
