I have been writing posts on Active Rain since the middle of June 2007 and today - this is my 1000th post on Active Rain!
When I first started writing on Active Rain I could not even imagine writing this many posts.

Here is what my stats look like on Active Rain:

90% of the time I write 10 posts each week. There have only been a few weeks in the last 2 years that I have not reached my goal.
I never run out of things to write about just the time to write all that I want to write about!

When I first started on Active Rain my intent was to pay it forward and I hope that I have achieved that goal and that each one of you finds value in my posts.
We all reach milestones and should feel a sense of accomplishment when we reach them.
Please share your Active Rain milestones on your blog each time you arrive at one.

The milestones serve not just as a pat on the back for us, but serve as a great motivation for newbies and others to follow and to reach for.
The most important advice that I can give you is to NEVER give up on your writing. You never know who you may touch or who you will reach.
People come and go on Active Rain and that is OK too. But I promise you that if you will not give up and if you will be patient and use persistence in your writing that you will be rewarded. It will be well worth the effort.

• We have received a lot of business from our Active Rain blog in the form of listings and referrals to listings from other agents around the country.
• I have made some really great friends here- those I will treasure forever.
• I have learned so much from all of you and what you bring to the community.
• And I have made a difference in the lives of others with my writing.

What has attributed to much of my success on our blog is:

• Sharing my experiences and knowledge

• Helping others along their journey

• Providing important short sale information and community information for sellers

• Creating visually attractive articles

• Polarizing the audience- speaking on my beliefs both politically and religiously

• Transparancy- what you see is what you get.

While there is much controversy about how and what to write on your blog- the proof is in the pudding!  

And last but not least- I can not ever write a post like this without sharing the reach beyond Active Rain and beyond consumers that your blog may travel.

One post that I felt compelled to write was about the domestic violence I had lived through. That post was found by a young lady on the evening that she was going to take her own life and commit suicide. Something told her to go to the computer. She did not even know what she typed but my blog post came up on her screen- it was titled- Shattered Glass and Dancing Nights. That post saved her life. She printed that post out and still has it hanging on her child's crib where she reads it every day- remembering that she is a daughter of God. The emails she wrote to me changed me forever and not a day goes by where I don't think about how we can make a difference in the lives of others.

SO keep on blogging! You will be glad you did!
