The irony is that I was MeMe'd in March when I was first here and did a meme which I totally messed up because I actually posted to the group rather than on my blog for the group - that blonde hair will get you in trouble all the time. So please Check out:I was challenged to tell more about Me! Me!- so here goes...
So interestingly enough 3 of my new friends - Ashley Drake & Peggy Edwards, Thesa Chambers, nominated me to tell more about myself so here goes, Part II - 5 more things....
1) We started homeschooling our two boys this last September - I must say Jack does most the heavy lifting- I'm the field trip / substitute teacher when his work calls him away :-).
2) I was offered a scholarship to college for softball. I played growing up and played pitcher and right field. Learned the meaning of teamwork being both the "focal point" as pitcher and the "weaker link" in right field - doing what the team needs.
3) I love the water - and have been swimming since I was 2 years old. I swam competitively through HS too. I love the beach and the beach lifestyle.Flat Mark Flanders can vouch for that! I love the beach, the beach and did I say the beach - oh yeah, and throw in beach sunsets too.
4) I enjoy red wine and dream of touring California Vineyards or France at sometime (kid-free) - so looking forward to visiting my friends in that area :-) For now I'll have to enjoy a glass at all my favorite local restaurants.
5) We enjoy camping and getting away from it all and are lucky to live in an area with lots of great places to get away too within a days drive. Ft DeSoto is our favorite spot!
I'd love to share a Florida Beach Sunset - you may find you fall in love with them too...

Cyndee - Thanks for sharing - I mean, you didn't really have a choice! All the same, I am glad to know more about you. The sunset was beautiful and one of the things I miss most about California.
Peggy - thanks for thinking of me! Look forward to meeting in person and getting acquainted. I do enjoy painting and making things for others. Who knows maybe you'll get some painted glasses one day :-)
Well after three of us tagged you I think you really owed us this one! Glad to learn more about you from this one. You know I homeschool as well and I do love seeing your localism posts looking forward to more.
Nice to find out more about you. Those gulf coast sunsets are SO beautiful. We used to go down to St. George Island back when we lived in Georgia. We are counting the days down now to our beach vacation on the Carolina Coast.
Ashley - it's flattering to know that I've started so many friendships that want to know more about me than just what I know about "Clearwater Florida Real Estate"
Rita - I still see a visit here in your future :-) I gotta say Beach sunsets are a great way to end the day! Tranquil and Majestic. My sister and parents have a house on the beach at Kill Devil Hills, NC - is that anywhere near you? I may come up for a week - it would be great to get together.
We are about an hour south of Raleigh in the middle of the state. We go to the beach at Oak Island south of Wilmington. The island runs east - west so you can get sunrises and sunsets over the water. The only bad thing is our beach vacation goes by so quickly every year.
Thanks for sharing...always nice to see a little into the lives of other members so I can grasp a little more of what they would be like in person....one day...maybe we'll have a giant conference for 30k+ members! WooHoo!
Sally, thanks for stopping by - wouldn't that be fun! I like learning more about everyone too. I would love to come to Hawaii one day too. Seems like another piece of paradise.

Cyndee ~ You've got some cute boys there! How cool you home school or Daddy does...he must be very patient and proud! Your sunsets are great too. Thanks for the sunset! Aaaah! I love that you homeschool. I have a friend and neighbor who does such an amazing job of that with three of her kids, she inspires me! I think she's the best teacher I've ever seen. Keep up the good work!

According to Google, we are 4.5 hours West of Kitty Hawk. I haven't been to the Outer Banks since my 12 year old was 2 but the beach out there is wonderful as well!
Cyndee, your boys are adorable. And I was absolutely blown away by the fact that you are homeschooling them. That's a full-time job all by itself. Truly, you are super-mom! I loved the sunset, complete with ocean sounds. Nice meme!
