I love all my Facebook friends, but I really don't what to read everyone's news feed everyday.  Sorry, guys.  But I didn't want to unfriend all those peeps either.

The NY Times article shows how to customize who and what shows up in your Facebook Newsfeed

Butting my friends in groups has been a life saver. Now I check in with family every morning and night. I have all my blogging friends catagorized too. The others I just look at IF and when I feel like it.

Missy,  Yes!  The "din" of so many people talking all at once had made Facebook almost unusable for me.  Sorting my peeps into groups was a lifesaver for me, too!!!!

I had over 250 friends before I realized I could group them into lists. I have a list for Professionals, family, friends, Democrats, friends I would have over for dinner . . .

I'm halfway through putting everyone into a group (or list), but I'm getting there . . .

Cheryl,

Thank you for sharing this article.  I like that Facebook has a groups feature, but I also like posting to all on my wall and receiving comments from friends, family, other bloggers and business associates on my posts.  In other words, I like to have the opportunity to interact with all and get their feedback.
