Watermellons mean summer is here for DinahWatermelons have always signaled that summer was finally here for me!

I can not think of as family gathering on a hot July day that the kids were not running through the yard with red juicy drops dripping everywhere.

The sprinkler swaying back and forth- and forth and back. A dog jumps into the lake to fetch a ball. The clouds tease us with shade and Grandma is busy in the kitchen.

The ladies are all sunning themselves with their favorite magaine while all of the guys encourage the kids to start a game of ball.

Isn't summer the sweetest!

Dinah Lee, that is some melon you have in your picture! Did you grow it yourself?

Hi Christianne,  Very nicely composed picture of the melon.  Nice summer memories.  Well done.

Last night I was enjoying watching lighting bugs and remembering how that was such a big summer pleasure for me as a child.
