Lizette Fitzpatrick tagged me for a new MeMe - for 5 months I was able to fly under the wire and not be tagged; now twice in May I have been tagged. So, here are 5 new things about me that you may or may not know about me. well drilling rig

I worked for a company that I was the only woman employed. We had 15 well drillers, management, all men and me. My job was the state and county paperwork of start cards, well logs and all that great stuff. I am thankful I held this position; I understand Range, Section and Townships better than most because of this job.

target for .06 I am a "sharp shooter" I regularly take target practice with rifles and pistols. I generally can keep my shots within a 1 inch square. I enjoy shooting and find it to be a great release of tension.

I can do most of my own maintenance and simple repairs to my own vehicle. I have changed tires, oil, alternators, belts, hoses, lights and brakes. My first car was a 1967 Chevy Chevelle (327 - two speed power glide tranny with oversized racing cam) that was a lot of fun. At the time our town was small enough that our one officer of the law would clock us for drag racing on Saturday nights. I was the only girl and I seldom lost. 68 Chevelle

I never had a speeding ticket until I was 36 years old - I was clocked doing 83 in a 45 - I was in a hurry to see my boyfriend, now husband. Crying did not clear me of this offensive - I now use my cruise control more often than not.

My idea of exercise is playing not going to the gym. I have never had a gym membership but as the big 50 approaches I am thinking this may be a necessity. I do not eat as much as I should and gain weight constantly because I do not eat. Most people do not understand, they think large people are overeaters. I am currently reading Bob Green's Best Life Diet to get a handle on eating the amount of food I need to eat to improve my health.

WoW! Thesa! I'm impressed! We actually have a lot in common. I used to own a Chevy Chevelle w/ a race cam. I had to have it taken out cause I couldn't afford 5 miles to the gallon. I was raised on a farm so I did get a lot of target practice. I hate the gym too and bought a Pilates machine. It's good to sit on when pulling on boots. Thanks for being a good sport on being tagged!

Me, again!?!?!? Hey, I love that yellow Chevelle! The car I lost in the war was a yellow 1970 Lemans Sport. I use to get her up to about 110 mph running out I-94 from 11 to 12 mile. I was sort of a chicken and didn't want to get caught speeding in a 55 zone.

Thanks for sharing! You and I would get along well. . . working on cars, racing and working jobs normally held by men. I dislike the fact that as I get older, I can't do all the manual labor I once did. Hurts to much these days.

Thesa I am really impress. I don't even know how to change a tire although I spent many years commuting long distance. I also learn that I would not want to get on your bad side, did you say sharp shooting relaxes you?

Thesa.... very interesting. I knew some of this about you when I first started talking to you. But great with a rifle and a pistol? hhhhmmm.... funny, I had a great grouping during target practice, when I was in basic training. They thought I was going to break some records.... when it came to the shooting range and making it count, I was above average, but not as great as when I started out.

The speeding ticket thing was kind of funny.... overall, thanks for sharing this.

Lizette - I have a Bowflex that sits in the "baby room" I have not used it in months - I loved my Chevelle - I was honored to be tagged by you!

Cyndi - you are a great spot I lost mine in the war zone too... it sucks - but it is just stuff. I do like working on cars, shooting and I am getting way too old to do some of the stuff I use to do... so now I find new things to love to do.

Cyndee - I do not have an artistic bone in my body - I can not pick my clothes - I have to do the white with something or black with something most of the time J

Jennifer - my grandfather use to disable my car just to be sure I could fix it - I took auto shop in school because I had already taken wood shop and metal shop. And yeah shooting does bring me down after a long day - you take a target and place it on a solid object - imagine it being the issues of the day and blow it away. Sick uh?

Jeff - nice to see you thanks for stopping by - I am a good shot - I generally bag my buck each year and my elk.

Renee - mine was yellow like the one in the picture - the one in the picture is not mine but it is exactly like mine was. They were great cars uh?

John - thank you for visiting - I drive my clients crazy - I can take them to the finest restaurant, go bass, trout or cat fishing, show them the best hunting spots, fix their car and sell real estate. I actually have changed a tire on a client's car.
