I really like honey. Our bees here are on a severe decline because of disease and also killer bees have hurt them.
Hi Trey~ I knw the honey bees ave been struggling for a few years now. I found thsi articel "Cure for Honey Bee Colonly Collapse" from Science Daily. Thanks for visiting.
Monique - We have a wonderful Farmer's Market in our area each Saturday. I try to go each week. This time of year the cherries, artichokes, and asparagus are wonderful.
Monique - I like your intro to your blog...very nicely done and that beekeeper looks pretty authentic. I have heard that the best honey to eat is local honey because it has the pollens that are local and in the air we breath making it better for allergies.
Hi Myry,
We have farmers market about 45 minutes away. I don't get there often. We are supposed to be getting on in my are within the next year. This is to support our local farmers who are suffering a bit. Thanks for visiting.
Hi Jane,
Thanks! We love honey at my home. We drink lots of tea.
Thanks for commenting and have a great weekend!
Did you know that LOCAL honey is one of the best treatments for allergies? It has to grown near where you live so that the bees collect the honey from the plants around the area. My husband use to suffer from pollen allergies and for the last 5 years, using 1 teaspone of honey a day, he doesn't have the problem anymore.
Hi,
I didn't kow that about the allergies and local bee's. My daughter has huge allergies to the pollen. Thanks for the tip and we will try it. This would be a good local blog!
