Crabcakes and boating go hand in hand when visiting Annapolis.  In fact, I can't think of a better place in the country....well, rather the world, for crabcakes than in Annapolis, simply because the Chesapeake has such a delicious selection or crabs of all types.

As we planned a short weekend trip to Annapolis, we checked out the Viscape website, and found that it got a high review of 88%.  Woo-hoo!  Here is a snippet from the Annapolis destination overview.

    Don't Be Afraid Of The Big Gate

    Having worked in Maryland's state capital for about a year, I grew to love the charms of this unique town: From the colonialism of its architecture and streets to its civic culture steeped in both government and the world of sailing. I also learned to not be afraid of what otherwise looks intimidating: The entrance to the U.S. Naval Academy, just a few blocks away from the state house.

We were on a quest for Annapolis vacation rentals.  We managed to find a few.  The lowest priced one was going for $79 per night.  What a deal!

It'd be awesome if more owners and real estate professionals list their vacation homes for rent and sale on Viscape.  Its free to list.  And it takes 2 minutes or less.  What makes Viscape different is that its a community of travelers who help each other get information about their destination and about vacation homes to make the search process simple and easy.  So thanks for listing your vacation home on Viscape!

I;ve been to Ocean City and had fresh squeezed Orange Juice and Crepes made at the table with real fruit and kirsh flambe...quite delicious.

I think a restaurant in my locality-- Coastal Georgia could give Annapolis a run for its money on the crabcakes.  But I'll be sure to try Maryland crabcakes out should the opportunity ever arise!  Thanks for the post.
