Tim Burrell's Books ArriveIt's the phone call – "They're perfect!" – when an author receives the first shipment of books. It's the photographs of the justifiably proud author holding the first copy out of the carton. Writing a book is hard work and takes longer than anyone thinks it will. To complete that, and then to actually publish the book, that's something to be very proud of.

First Book from the CartonToday I'm celebrating Tim Burrell's accomplishment. His book, Create a Great Deal: The Art of Real Estate Negotiating, is one of the best I've seen on the subject. It's well written and has an eye-catching cover thanks to the design skill of his wife, Judy Burrell. It's already received a very good review by Bernice Ross in Inman News on June 1, and endorsements from many of the top names in the business.

Proud Author Tim BurrellTim knows a thing or two about marketing in addition to his formidable negotiation skills, and I expect this book will be a great success.

Yep, it's my favorite part.

Hi Peg~ I remember you were the one to help Margaret Rome with publishing her book too.  Great Job Peg!  I hope you get to publish many more!  I guess Tim Burrell is an activerainer too?

The world needs to hear how great Peg is at publishing.  I had several other choices and I am so happy to be with her.  Lulu.com was dissappointed that I did not go with them, the folks at Amazon.com still send me recruiting emails, and I have talked with some major publishing representatives.  But, Peg is the best.  She is doing my second book, Create A Short Sale.  She knows the business completely, answers questions quickly and is available to explain the ins and outs of publishing.  However, the best part is her judgment.  There are a number of major decisions on how to approach a subject like negotiating, and there are some stories that are better left untold.  You can get many people who know the mechanics and the way through the maze.  You will find very few like Peg who also have the gift of good judgment.  Thank you Peg.

Yes, Vickie, I am on Active Rain, where I hope everyone mentions the website for this book, www.CreateAGreatDeal.com and the short cut to how to purchase it at www.PurchaseTheBook.com .  There, I have done my part for our shameless commerce division.

Thank you again Peg.

Hi Vickie, and thanks - yes, I've been privileged to work with some of real estate's finest in Margaret Rome and Tim Burrell.

Tim, you make me blush! Thanks for the very kind words - you are a treat to work with. Just like in real estate, publishing has its standards and also its quirks. It's my job as publisher to make sure you understand all the options and implications so you can make informed choices. I know that Create a Great Deal will be a great success for you, and am enjoying your next book, too.  Create a Short Sale will be a fine addition to your creative series.
