I love a nicely landscaped yard. Nice shrubs and plants neatly arranged. It really jazzes up the exterior of a house. Problem is you have to cut, trim and thin all those beautiful plants.

These days we lead busy lives with hardly time to do what needs doing.  Sometimes things just have to get put off for a while.

Take for example the trimming and pruning on this house I inspected recently. This is a true example of inaccessible and non visible areas unless of course you're packing a machete.

The first shot is the back of the house. Yes there is a house in there behind the shrubbery and trees. You can really see how completely grown in this house is from the birds eye view in the second shot from the roof. I could not get entirely around the house because of the vegetation.

You know this weekend I think I'm going to remove that bush against the house in the front. It's looking a little big and wild.

Wow, now that is some serious overgrowth. Forget curb appeal unless your buyer is looking for a little jungle escape.

Staging starts on the outside. If the owners are not willing to do the work, it is a good time for them to hire a landscaper.

Nice private setting with seclusion and a tropical look and feel. Fully landscaped, hurry it wont last! (this is how it must be listed on the MLS)

James, but if you cut all that stuff away how are all the critters going to get into the attic?

John, I advised them to down the jungle.

Roy, Or a crew of landscapers.

Laura, That's funny, but probably true :)

Nutsy, I saw some of your brethren scurrying through the trees. Unfortunately I didn't have my rifle.

Charlie, Through the walls, they weren't insulated.

Matt, She was on her way to taking it back.

I think I inspected that house Saturday!  It was large, unoccupied for almost 2 years, and totally taken over by "plantings!"

Jay, This was vacant for about six months. I think the landscping got away from them a little.
