This morning's radio debate revolved around the French Cuisine dish Foie Gras, a duck type specialty which I've never tasted...!!!  

Actually the controversy isn't so much about the 'meat or no meat' aspect, but rather the manner in which the duck is fed prior to being used in the preparation of the Foie Gras...!!!

Some consider the dish inhumane treatment of animals, and think the dish should be banned from all menus in public restaurants...  

I myself think the whole debate is ludicrous in light of the fact that we live in a nation that makes abortion legal and stands by as millions of unborn babies are slaughtered...  

Where's the public outcry over equality of sexes inasmuch as the majority of abortions performed are on female preborn babies...and where is the public outcry over racism inasmuch as a disproportionate number of aborted babies are black and hispanic...and where is the public outcry by the PRO CHOICE sector inasmuch as every single aborted baby has been denied his or her freedom of choice...!!!  

Yes, let's waste more time debating whether or not an exotic dish served in only the most exclusive dining establishments and selected very rarely by only a selected few discriminating diners...  

As for me...I refuse to order duck when dining out...I'm afraid I might get stuck with the bill...!!!
