Seems like this past week has been "early-morning-inspection" week. Every day I've had an inspection at 8:30 a.m., with the earliest being 5:30 a.m.
Since it's Friday, and that 5:30 a.m. inspection was today, and I knew well in advance that I'd have an early morning inspection today, I didn't schedule anything else for today since I needed to get my daily 20-minute walk in, and since my daily 20-minute walk has turned into two- to three-hour walks with this new camera toy of mine, I decided to go for a walk at Lake Murray since my inspection was just a few blocks away. (That's one heck of a long sentence right there.)
I had been to the northern part of Lake Murray before, but never to Lake Murray Park. I will be going there again, many times. It's a jewel that most of San Diego County apparently doesn't know about, and it's not even a half mile from my office, certainly within walking distance.
I understand that the Park is named after the Lake, but I actually think it should be named Ground Squirrel Park. I have never seen so many ground squirrels in all my life. For your Foto Friday viewing pleasure, I present "Ground Squirrel Invasion." No two pictures are of the same ground squirrel, so you know what I mean when I say "invasion."
