Warrior One Featured in CNN Documentary
Over the U.S. Memorial Day weekend, Dave Liniger and the Warrior One Hummer were featured in a special CNN documentary, "Warrior One For All."  | | SEEN: The Warrior One will be in Ohio this weekend. |
The documentary tells the story of Warrior One, how the Linigers bought it at auction, and how the resulting "RE/MAX Tour for the Troops" is raising awareness of wounded veterans through Warrior One appearances across the country. The documentary aired three times. Warrior One became a home-away-from-home for a CNN news crew embedded with the US Marines during the invasion of Iraq. It was brought to America and completely rebuilt on the TV show Overhaulin'. After the overhaul, the Linigers acquired the vehicle at the Barrett-Jackson auction for $1 million dollars. The entire bid was donated to the Fisher House Foundation, which assists wounded veterans and their families with housing during extended medical treatments. CNN Warrior One is now appearing around the country on the "RE/MAX Tour for the Troops," which raises funds for the Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship Foundation. Millions of people will see the Hummer at air shows, auto shows and other veterans events this year. During the Memorial Day weekend, CNN Warrior One was at the Chagrin Falls Blossom Time Festival in the Cleveland area. A CNN news crew provided live coverage of the three-day event.
