Friday's Fotos - Stained Glass Windows...

Earlier today, I had an opportunity to be at a function for the inner city children which was held in the Lindsley Ave Church of Christ in downtown Nashville, TN. The church was built sometime in the late 1800's, 1894 I think. I really love going into these old buildings as the architecture is so beautiful, not to mention painstaking work it took to create these works of art...

Can't wait until Sunday to get you photo fix, then "Friday's Fotos..." is the group for you. Dedicated to all you camera buffs who periodically get into their right mind if you know what I mean.

Rules are similar as with the other groups - but with a slight twist. Let the fotos do the talking but, Please be pithy with your descriptions. So spread the love, tell others, and happy shooting and posting.

Thanks for giving me the "heads up" on Friday's Fotos", Michael. I love stained glass windows.

These are beautiful! Such an art to stained glass. I'm always just mesmerized by them.

By the way, Michael. This post reminded me of some photos I had taken of great stained glass windows in at Riverside's Mission Inn. So, I decided to do a post about it. Thanks for the inspiration. You can read it here, if you're interested.

Michael, That is beautiful. I think my favorite is the cross with the crown. I love the symbolism.

Stained glass windows are something very special.

Gorgeous shots...reminds me of all the time I spent visiting churches in Europe...ahhhh

Michael - We have some lovely old churches in downtown Nashville. I haven't been in this one, but I have seen a few.

Michael - excellent, love the great contrats, I am almost always in my "right" mind, but, unfortunatley, the rest of me is all "left" thumbs.

There was quite a lot of work that went into those windows and a lot of ladder climbing was called for.
