Flotilla on the Hudson River?

I have been blogging about events occurring in the Hudson Valley because this is New York's 400 year celebration, the Qradracentennial. This week I had the opportunity to witness a flotilla going up the Hudson River. It included a replica of the Half Moon the ship in which Henry Hudson sailed up the Hudson River; and the Nina one of Christopher Columbus ship.

Jennifer, When you said Crickets I didn't realize you meant it literally but yes those were crickets. We love to sail and so these were great pictures.

Marchel - These boats looked so beautiful going up river, That cricket was so loud, at first I did not know what was going on.

I know that you would appreciate these photos.

Jennifer - What a sight that must have been to see those beautiful ships sail along the Hudson River in celebration of New York's big 400.

Jennifer, That must have been quite a sight! I love just passing the Hudson, it's so beautiful. Great shots and thank you for sharing them (I'm sorry I missed this!).

Jennifer I love looking at those old ships, and as good as the picture of them are, they are even more impressive in person.

I know that I've seen replicas of the Niña, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria, but gosh darn if I can remember where. Thanks for these photos!

It seems to make history come to life, watching the video, and the chirps of the cricket song adds the flavor!

Jennifer that was some video. At least you didn't have to put no music to it-The crickets took care of that. And New York is 400 years old? Wow! Great post.
