Not taking my first MCE Class but teaching my first MCE Class of which I authored the curriculum!!!  I am so stoked about teaching my own class and it's in front of the home crowd!

The topic..."Online Marketing...FREE and Cheap!" and it includes a huge plug for Active Rain and blogging plus social networking, video, and creating a strong online presence!  I have taught the class as a company trainer for two years now and I submitted it recently and got it approved this week.  I get the privilege of presenting it at the Texas Association of REALTORS Region 7 Meeting next Friday in New Braunfels, Texas for attendees representing the 8 REALTOR Boards of our region.  There were 34 seats available in the class per fire marshall standards and as of Wednesday we were at 29 and reservations were still coming in!

To say I am delighted is a gross understatement...I am giddy like a golden retriever puppy!

I have had a dream to teach for most of my life.  I love real estate, I am a writer, a photographer, a graphic designer and love to speak in public.  So throw all that in together and man I am in my element!  It is like a dream come true to be able to create a program about something you love and be able to share it with other people to help them better themselves.  My dream has come to fruition after many years of positioning, preparing and practicing.

My late father used to tell me that he always had dreams of me speaking to large crowds of people, inspiring and motivating them to the next level in their lives...

Could this be Daddy's dreams becoming reality?  I wish he could be here for this day, but I am sure he is watching from his heavenly post.  On Friday, June 19, 2009 I will step into a real estate classroom, not as a student, but as the teacher and I am humbled and feel immensely blessed to have this opportunity.  I feel I must give a shout out to my Active Rain peeps because my class has gotten progressively better through my time in the Rain and the huge amount of knowledge I have been exposed to in this network.  Thank you to everyone on AR who takes the time to share their knowledge, I am a better person, a better REALTOR and a better teacher because of you!

Jeani,

Congradulation.  I bet from the excitement felt in your blog that you did a fantastic job with this course.  And since you wrote the course yourself it is probably like your child.

Jeani,  That is absolutely wonderful!  Congratulations!  We are all proud of you.  I wish I could be there and I was planning to come but some things have happened that I will not be able to attend.  So next time.  I'll be thinking of you up there teaching and rooting you on from afar.
