I want to say THANK YOU - TO ALL MY ACTIVE RAIN FRIENDS. I just received my first gold star for
my first featured blog.This means so much to me. I have only been blogging since Jan 30,
2009 I have become addicted to checking my Active Rain every day and commenting on blogs and posting.

In 135 days I have 96 blogs and close to my 100 posts and 38,666 points

BRUCE: I just need my Active Rain boo st of energy each and every day at least to comment if I do not have the time to blog. Itis like taking my daily dose of vitamins I require Active Rain.

GREG: Blogging had become a habit. I am like a sponge I want to absorb and soak it as much as I can in the amount of time I spend in the community. I love to say hello to my AR friends, so I comment more than I blog.

Sadly, not very many "local" posts get featured.

BTW, I stopped at the farmer's market in Purcellville today and collected some wonderful yellow squash, zuccini, turnips, spring onions, a fabulous loaf of whole grain and seed bread.

What a treat.

I just got home and discovered that my one of my posts from this morning had been featured. How exciting. Two features in one week, and I've only been blogging less than one month.

So, who decides which posts will be featured? Quite a compliment and welcomed encouragement!

JULIE: Thank you, I will write my blogs and when the next feature comes along I will be surprised again.

MICHAEL: Whenever the next one comes I will be excited and happy again.but I blog not with the feature in mind, i just want to relay my feelings and my thoughts about whatever is happening in my state at the time I write.

LAURA: I love writing blogs that I can share and help the readersto follow me as well as to share photos of images I have captured and find so unique and breathtaking and in my state of RI.

You're lucky. I know one Realtor here who has almost 600 posts and about 215,000 points, but no Featured post. He's not worried about it, though, because he's got five buyers under contract that he's working with.

In Andrew's situation, I think he has Members Only account, which if I remember correctly (and I might not) is not eligible for the little trinkets under our pictures.
