How Much Is That Gas... Us Canadians Pay By The Litre

Real Estate Sales Representative with RE/MAX West Realty Inc., Brokerage

When you listen to the news each day and hear how much a barrel of oil is, it makes you wonder what the price they charge us at the pumps has anything to do with the barrel cost.

Up our way, weathers getting warmer, nice time to take a drive... oh goodness, look at that 99.5 cents a litre, up from 94.7 cents yesterday.  Guess they didn't pump enough barrels yesterday.

Our energy stocks took a big hit and they are not climbing like the prices at the pumps.  It's fixed... we don't care what they are telling us.

Oh well, just got on that topic as we were blogging... heard a loud noise, here's what it was.

These guys have 2 and 3 engines, they don't get miles per gallon they get gallons per mile.  Guess they own the barrel company.

Have a Great Boating Day!

Al and Peggy Cunningham

You are right on the money. Oil is a commodity now so supply and demand have nothing to do with it.

Talk about expensive, I am not complaining. Yikes, that is like 3.76 per US gallon. So you are right, the guys in those boats must have their own private stock!

Have a great day!

The price of gas is determioned by the taxes you pay , how much specualtors think they can make, and if the oil companies presidents kids are going IVY league for college. These reasons are all called by the oil folks supply and demand

You've got that right Terry!

Expensive for sure Andrea.  Those boats were doing the annual Poker Run.  Participants were way down this year, mmm, wonder why!

Glad to hear you are fired up Elaine! We have a experienced a slow burn, so are trying to fan the flames.

Well said Charlie and couldn't agree more!  What about our kids?

No offense, but I certainly hope that we don't see prices again like those for some time.  Our price per gallon has been steadily climbing, so we'll see.

Gas is going up everyday again as everyone is saying.  That is because they know in the summer people drive more and drive farther.

Hi Jim and Maria!  It is a very scary thing the way they climb. Wish our oil stocks would climb the same way! Thanks for stopping by

Hey You! This is a habitual thing right Debra? Every year, same thing. Strange though they never seem to bring it ALL the way back down in the fall! Well off to the pumps then will see you on your side of the fence!

I don't know how much a liter (corrected your misspelling -- LOL) is, but I do know that our low-flow toilets get six liters to the flush. We call them 6 point 0's.
