Being considerate of others in public?

In one of last week's blogs, I wrote about how the economy, how it is affecting the work force and the reduction of jobs.  As the  our local economy weakened more have lost their jobs at the bank, thGrocery shopping in a blure grocery store,  almost anywhere you go nowadays there will be one less employee who worked there before.

So, now we have less people to serve the same number of customers.  So those that are on phone calls when it's your turn, finish the conversation with the family member, friend, colleague, or whomever you are with and not keep everyone waiting in line while you all are making plans, debating a subject, etc. Oh one other thing we all know you have a cool ring on your phone....I hear it four isles over when I am in the store!  So try a phone ring at a non-deafening ring when you're waiting to be waited on.  I promise you'll still hear it.

If we all remember a little more common courtesy, everyone would be a little less stressed and things would run smoother is my guess.

Just thought I would share what everyone else staring at you is thinking as your phone blasts it's ring tone across the store, restaurant or bank lobby is thinking.

Any thoughts....besides mind my own business!

How funny you mention this. I was in a two person line (YAY!) at the drugstore, but the woman in front of me turned away from the cashier (after she'd been rung up) to yack on her cellphone for three minutes. I found the expression of the cashier funny enough to not be annoyed myself, but absent the cashiers humor, it would have been VERY annoying. Of course, by the time she finished her call, with no apology or acknowlegement, there were three people behind me- she's lucky she got out of there without a few suggestive words. None of us needed the delay.
