Just so you all know.....Leolinda helped me with the name of it...Lobster Claw Heliconia...which is a type of Hawaiian Ginger. :) :)

Kent: That's nice! Maybe these colors brightened your day too?

William!  I love your replica's William!  You have a whole shabang full of color!

Leolinda: Thanks for helping me identify. I had no idea what they were.... I thought just some kind of ginger...and when you said heliconia I had no clue what that was either!  thanks again and nice talking to you!

Sally, This is a rare find in Hawaii and normally is found deep in the mountains.  I can just imagine what you went through to get the picture and I appreciate seeing it again.  Your pictures truly depict the beauty of the flower.  Good talking with you too!

Sally,

This is a very pretty flower and a very hearty one. Looks like it enjoys where it is growing. :)

Sally, I would be there in a NY minute if I could. I have been to Hawaii 3 times and if I had the opportunity I could live in your paradise. Your Hawaiian Ginger...Heleconia is absolutely gorgeous. I brought home the Hawaiian Ginger fragrance, my favorite. Is it derived from this particular plant?
