Just so you all know.....Leolinda helped me with the name of it...Lobster Claw Heliconia...which is a type of Hawaiian Ginger. :) :)

Thanks all for stopping by...and Jeff....I hope you and Kay come back again...the last trip was sooo short and we only had those couple of hours.
Sally,
Are you the only agent from Hawaii on AR?
No Greg.....I know Randy got busy and is on Facebook and stuff....and there are others from other islands..... I guess I'm just entertaining enough for you to visit me LOL>
Sally, This is a rare find in Hawaii and normally is found deep in the mountains. I can just imagine what you went through to get the picture and I appreciate seeing it again. Your pictures truly depict the beauty of the flower. Good talking with you too!
That is beautiful. And the silk flowers that William posted are gorgeous too!
Hello Sally,

Sally, I would be there in a NY minute if I could. I have been to Hawaii 3 times and if I had the opportunity I could live in your paradise. Your Hawaiian Ginger...Heleconia is absolutely gorgeous. I brought home the Hawaiian Ginger fragrance, my favorite. Is it derived from this particular plant?
Nice! I am heading to Ke Nui Road, Haleiwa within two weeks and I am soooooooooooooo excited :)
Great photo- we just left there and I am missing it terribly!
