We all read and hear the term "Motivated Seller".  Here is a seller that just makes me crazy!

I call her to make an appointment to show her $1.1 Million Dollar Home this week.  My clients arrived today and want to be in a contract to purchase by Thursday.

The seller says: "I have so much going on.  I simply can't be bothered this week."

Me: "We could come anytime Monday or Tuesday."

Seller: "No, maybe next weekend I will have things back in order."

Me: "Sorry, my folks only have the next two days to look."

Seller: "OK, goodbye."

Does this seller have a clue?!  I guess she doesn't want to sell it!  Needless to say - when I left the Listing Agent a message - she wasn't very pleased.  Not at all!

Sounds like time for this Seller to get a dose of Reality !

That's got me scratching my head too! She obviously isn't pressed for time, definately not money! Is she newly listed? Is it the first potential offer on the place??

... I had the same with an agent today. Wanted to show her listing, remarks said "Call agent for all showings". I called she said "Oh I'm away this weekend, can you come next weekend I have to accompany"

... she left no notes in the remarks to say no showings this weekend (in primetime spring selling) and she made no alternative arrangements for anyone else to show.

Not doing her seller any favors at all, so to me, she's an un-motivated AGENT !

James, that seller is probably a spouse that doesn't want to sell!

After their home is on the market for 8 months they may change their tune or maybe whatever is going on in the family (like Barbara points out) will have resolved itself. Unreal.

James

You have those people too? In a market when we need and want to get properties sold some are never on the same page. I had one awhile ago that made appointments and stood me up. When I called her she pretty much called me a grunt. At that point I was thinking I would track you and Casey down and have a couple. All my best.
