cat

Every cat lover and cat owner (or should I say anyone owned by their cat), will know how true the above saying is.

I wonder do dog owners feel the same way about their pets?  Or is it something about cats, and the special love between them and their owners, that make them so special.  There really is a difference.  A cat rarely gets in trouble for whatever mischief they commit.  A cat is always beautiful, purrfect in every way.  A cat eats whenever they choose, whatever they choose, and comes home whenever they choose.  Dogs do not have that luxury.

I suppose it must be the higher level that cats live at that makes the darlings so incredibly purrfect.

Yes, the truth is out.  I am owned by my cat, my darling! :)

OK Ms Ricki does your little darling have a name? Now my Brutus goes pretty much where he wants to go, eats pretty much what he wants (when I'm not looking) sleeps when and where he wants and he not only my special friend but my guard dog security system.

We do love our pets don't we?

Yes, Ceil,  we do love them!  Jaggi is her name, short for the jaguar she thinks she is.

Hi Ricki, My cat, Fluffy, also thinks he is a jaguar.  He climbs to the very top of the live oaks in our neighborhood.  Call me on my cell at 11:00 in the morning 210-414-0966.

Will do Shirley,  Does Fluffy ever get too high and then cry to get down?  That is a picture I have not taken of Don on the ladder :)

Ricki...

Those are too cute...love the ones in the trees :).  I miss my Thor so much, I had her for 20 years, or rather Thor had me for 20 years :)

ThorShe would get on the top of the counters and jump down if someone came by and scare the crap out of them...just one of her little games :).

I've been going to call you with an update, just haven't.  I'm waiting to see if they will approve me for a transplant list.  I need a double lung and a liver, so the wait time might be awhile.  I hope not since it is getting harder and harder to breath everyday now.  The drugs I was on for the MAC lung disease are not working and my last breathing test I was down to 30% capacity.  If I get on the list, and if I get the transplants, and if I survive the surgery and if I don't reject the new organs, then I will be able to throw this oxygen cord away and run up there to see you!!!  Lots of "IF's", but I'm being optimistic and praying a lot.  Miss you girlfriend, L

My dear sweet Liz,   I am so happy to hear from you.  My prayers are with you everyday.  I'm sure there are lots of others out there praying too.  We are going to think positive and pray and expect the transplants.   I would love to see you too.  I miss you much!!!!  I know you miss Thor.  Jaggi just turned 6, she's still a baby.  How is Mr. Rhett Butler?  ANd Bill?  Give them both our love. :)

Thanks Dale,  I know Jaggi is shy sometimes and doesn't like a camera shot from the front.  You might wanna come on down here and talk to Liz's doctors.  We both want the best for her!

Ricki - You are so right - there is a special bond between cats and their owners.  Also I love the saying 'This house is maintained entirely for the comfort and convenience of the Cat"

Ricki, I am owned by my grandkiity and when my daughter arrives she drops me as though I was not there.  She cuddles right back up after she leaves though.

Ricki,  I'm not owned by a cat.  I'm owned by a dog (Shih Tzu) -- they do call them the Lion Dog.  He's king of the house and allows us to live here to take care of him and attend to his needs.  Zydeco is such a sweet dog -- don't know what I'd do without him.  :)

Hey there, Miz Liz.  It's great to see you visit us again.  So sorry you're still having health problems.  We'll be praying for you to get on the list for the transplants you need and for a full recovery from the surgeries.  Love You -- Judi

Hi Sharon,    That saying so true esp. in our house :)

Hi Marchel,    Jaggi treats Don that way too whenever I'm gone.  But when I return she is a one person cat! :)

Hi Judi,   Aren't our pets wonderful!  I love Zydeco's name.    Isn't it wonderful to hear from Liz?  She needs all our prayers.  We all love her so much!

Ricki

You are so right about cats . We have 4 at present or is it 5? LOL   I forget

Sometimes I lose count. But only one has house privileges and they are somewhat limited at that. And all the cats have to earn their keep!

Ricki - It is true that the cat does believe that the home is theirs and that everything that transpires in the house should be done for their enjoyment! My puppy can be similar in his estimation of the world. Cute pictures of your kitty thanks for sharing.

Hi Trey,  That's the wonderful thing about cats.  They are happy inside and outside and they do earn their keep.

Hi Jackie,  Thanks for commenting.  Cats do like to own their territory and my Jaggi is very possessive of hers, namely me! :)  Puppies can be that way too.

Nice to read about your Jaggi.  Marci is laying on the floor in my office right now.  She just received some special attention from me but I had to set her down so I could comment.
