Great job getting the word out through "grass-roots". We have had so many wonderful agents both active and inactive signing up for our www.MyGreenParachute.com over the past month - I guess the word is really getting out there as we launch! Of course hats off to you - all this is taking place in no small part to you and our other members who really see the value and where this is all headed! Over and over I hear that people are so excited about both sides of the equation - the long term residual income after retirement, and on the referral receiving end - solid referrals. Working with such wonderful real estate professionals such as yourself is a real blessing!

Something interesting has also been happening - we have found that our Active agents are signing up to SEND referrals to other Active agents as well! This was not really part of the initial program, but it is becoming very effective for agents who work in Independent brokerages. Independent brokerages - those that are not affiliated with the big franchises - make up around 80% of all brokerages in the US. What these folks are finding is that www.MyGreenParachute.com is a great way to find qualified agents to send their referrals to anywhere in the world, and have their referrals tracked in their account and completely transparent. They know where the referral was sent, where it is in the process, when it will close, and how much money they will be receiving for their referral and when.GREAT tracking. Even better then playing with the "big boys" of the national franchises in many respects. We have lots of those folks in our membership as well - so I guess it really works for everyone.

Carolyn, that is one of the great features of MGP, is the online tracking of referrals and their progress. Makes it so simple, and eliminates a lot of paperwork for the agents.

As the California Desginated State Broker for My Green Parachute.com I appreciate how you are getting the word out to the California Realtors on how to increase their closings using our unique referral system. For twenty years, I was the owner/broker of a successful real estate franchise company. We established a referral network from the agents who retired or simply left the business. It involved establishing an entirely new business entity to manage this effort. However, we quickly discovered that we were not really equipped to drive this entity because we were simply too busy running the day to day activities of our active real estate company. If only Carolyn had been around back then, we would have gladly embraced the concept of My Green Parachute.com. By placing our inactive agents in this program where they would have received coaching and training on how to be a professional referral agent, I am sure we would have generated a ton of business from this group. I have been around this industry for 37 years and there has never been anything as innovative as what Carolyn has created to assist real estate agents to drive more referrals that would surely lead to more closings. There seems to be a natural relucatance for real estate agents to try something new. Most are mired in the day to day challenges of surviving in this industry. Why more agents will not try a program that can drive more referrals to them remains a mystery to me.

Is it a matter of distrust, or simply an attitude of short sightedness? Our industry is challenged everyday. One way to meet that challenge is to open the door to new opportunities.
