Foreign Investment in California Business and Real Estate Should Be Encouraged

We need and should welcome foreign investment of money and capital in business and real estate here in California and Orange County.

US investment VISA program US IMMIGRATION THROUGH INVESTMENT ... Under section 203(b)(5) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), 8 U.S.C. §1153(b)(5).

10,000 immigrant visas per year are available to qualified individuals seeking permanent resident status on basis of their engagement in a new commercial enterprise. Policy behind this U.S. Investment Visa program was to attract needed foreign sources of capital into the US for development projects and employment for American workers.

Foreign nationals can through this program buy and own property anywhere in the US and travel in and out of the country, and obtain green cards for themselves, their spouse, and unmarried children under the age of 21.

As Realtors and business people, we should recognize this needed source of capital and encourage our law and policymakers to support this US investment VISA program.

Let's Support the US Investment VISA Program and encourage non US citizens to get legal residency through the Investment Visa In Commercial Enterprise.

Foreign capital flows definitely would be a good thing. What is your state doing to encourage employers? I have heard several say wages and property and taxes are the detriments to investing in CA. What programs does your state have to help businesses?

Brian ... Interesting comment and good question on what California as a state is doing to encourage employers. I don't see much and don't expect it to change real soon. The Dems at Sacramento usually shoot down any possible shift to conservative supply side economic policy. We need more state programs to help businesses.
