When the Team of ReStyled to Sell is called on a Home Staging Consultation the first thing that we look at is HOW CAN WE MAKE THEIR HOUSE COME ALIVE BY USING THEIR ITEMS...That is the most fun that we have as we search diligently through basements, closets and garages. Here is what we came up with on a house we staged this weekend.

The clients had some vacant rooms that they were looking to stage. They opted to purchase some of the larger items like couch and chairs for living room. The other items were either purchased by me for a minimal fee or we found them around their home.

The Living Room Before had no appeal to a buyer as they entered the front door. The client purchased the Sofa, Chair and Lamps, while the other items were taken from other parts of the house

The Dining Room Before lacked drama. The client purchased the tablecloth and centerpiece. Everything else was found throughout the house.

The white curtains were removed to showcase the beautiful windows. In the after angle you cannot see that but I wanted to show you the view now from entering the home.

The Kitchen was beautiful, but appeared cluttered and cold. By adding color, swapping out chairs, table and artwork (also found from around the house) the room appears much warmer and inviting.

KITCHEN AFTER...

The Family Room presented a challenge as the clients had a large TV and couch, winding staircase, and a curved wall of windows...

FR BEFORE did not highlight any of the home's selling features.....

FAMILY ROOM AFTER....Did you notice the fireplace before??

The first part to selling any home is getting people in the front door to see it. WHICH PHOTOS WOULD HAVE MADE YOU CURIOUS ENOUGH TO COME SEE THIS HOME??

Just gorgeous.  You did a fantastic job.  I'm sure they were thrilled.  It's fun to search for items to use that they already own, use them, and see the expression of the home owner.  Great job.

I keep telling owners that a stager is worth the money they pay and that they (most of the time) have already everything a stager will need to help them stage their home.

This looks beautifull, thank you for sharing

Phyllis...the hunt and the creativity needed is what I like most about staging occupieds.  I'm always disappointed if they have a garage sale before they call me.  Nice work.

Thanks Ladies we LOVE the HUNT and it not always amazes the clients what we find, but it truly amazes us each and every time. We actually found enough BEDS/furniture and bedding to stage 2 vacant bedrooms, which I did not post

As always, HAPPY STAGING, Phyllis

Phyllis ~ This is a fabulous example of creative professional staging at its best!  I love that you found what you needed in other rooms and used those items to highlight the features of this home.  It looks so much better and I'm sure your client is delighted!

Nice job Phyllis.  It's amazing what you can find hidden away in the basement or attic, that they never even considered using.  Thanks for sharing your photos with us.

Hi Phyllis, the hunt is my favourite part of the staging job. You are always delighted to find the best objects are hidden away in cabinets. Once you bring them out into the open the client usually remarks that they would never have thought to use it that way. Stagers bring out more smiles from their clients when they use the homeowners  things. Great work, very inviting. I know which pictures would get me out to see the property. And no, I didn't notice the fireplace in the before photo.

Phyllis,

Each room looked larger with a lot more open space.  It's great that they already had everything to use.  They just needed a Professional like you to show them how to pull it all together.  Thanks for sharing these great photos and the awesome transformation you made!!!

Oh my-the place does not look like the same residence!  You are truly amazing!  The home looks so much brighter and warmer and more open.  Thanks for taking me on a great tour.

You have done it right, without a doubt.  They must be delighted.  The whole transformation is outstanding, but I love the kitchen transformation the best!

I agree, I love redesigns, it's so much fun to use other peoples treasures.  There is always something hidden in a closet or drawer that isn't being used that is perfect.

Great job on each of the rooms.  I think what is great is that you are showing the homeowners how they can use their belongings in a more creative way.

And the nay-sayers say staging is expensive!!!  NOT

What a huge impact - for very little money. I wish all homeowners could see this! Way to go Phyllis, excellent example of the creativity that we offer as stagers.
