Sound too good to be true?  It's not.  You can get Free Money.  That's right, up to $8,000. buckaroos.

Did I mention Free Money?

It's not falling from the sky or growing on trees.  It is part of the stimulus package to get our financial system back on track.  Here's what you have to do to get your free money.  You have to be a first time homebuyer or not have owned a home in the past 3 years.  That's the first thing.  Do you qualify?

OK, next.  You must buy a home before December 1st, 2009.  That gives you only 5 1/2 months.  You better get shopping.  It takes time to find a house.  It takes time to find a Realtor.  It takes time to negotiate a contract.  It takes time to get a loan.  It takes time to close.  Get the message?

So what are you waiting for?                                                            Free Money

Time is running out!  Don't wait until the deadline is almost up.  You might not make it in time and then you will miss getting the Free Money

If you buy a home that costs $80,000., you can qualify for $8,000.   If you buy a home that costs $70,000. you qualify for $7,000., $60,000. qualify for $6,000.  Understand?

The Free Money will be sent to you via your tax refund check next year if you provide the closing cost statement and fill out the form with your tax return.  The government has also said you can use this free money for your closing costs when buying the house.  Talk to your lender for more details on this.

I'm not a lender, just a Realtor looking to help as many people as I can to take advantage of this Free Money.  I love to see folks experience the joys of home ownership.  It is the American Dream.  Call me, let me help you get your Free Money and make your dreams come true.

Ricki - Nice job explaining things here!  I heard that they were considering expanding the tax credit back to $15,000 again.

This really is a great opportunity for folks and we know so many "great" realtors that would love to sell them a home. Jason that would be great if that should happen.

Hi Carl & Ceil,   Yes, there are a lot of great Realtors and a lot of them are here on AR.  $8,000 or $15,000 both are good and getting to own your own home is even better!

Ricki, great post about the Tax Credit.  I'm down here in San Antonio, helping first-time buyers take advantage of it.  Never too busy to help another couple find a home and take advantage of the Tax Credit.  :)

Hmmm, they're thinking about increasing it to $15,000???  That's wonderful -- what's the timeline on that???

There is an income guideline that you have to look at too.  Not everyone qualifies for the entire  $8000.

Hi Judi,   Hope you get to help some folks with this too.  I don't know about the increase or the timeline.

Hi Suzanne,   You are right.  The guidelines are so high most people will not have to worry about that.  This tax credit is for single people making less that $75,000. and married couples making less than $150,000. so that is just about everyone in the first time homebuyer scenario especially here in Texas.

Ricki - Jason is correct that they are still talking about making the adjustment to $15.000 and possibly opening it to All Home Buyers instead of just the new ones.  Cross our fingers.

Now, did you mention this was FREE MONEY??  :-)

Hi Ricki... The clock is definitely ticking... hopefully buyers won't stay on the fence too long and miss out!

John,  if that happens I'm buying a new house! :)

Hi Steve,  Hopefully, they won't.  Not much time left considering all that is involved in buying a home.
