The coming of age of downtown Tacoma, WA!

Just signed a brand new listing in downtown Tacoma; 1836 square foot townhome with views of Foss waterway and Mount Rainier; $347,950.00!

If I were single or married without kids I would love to live down here now; I remember back in the early 90s and driving down the 21st hill and seeing Mount Rainier and the Foss Waterway and thinking that they needed to build some upscale condos and townhomes to take advantage of these views.  It took about 12 years give or take a year, but it is happening now.

For those of you not familiar with Tacoma it has been for many years the Seattle's "little brother" to put it mildly.  But, with the Glass Museum and the Tall Ships and many more nice restaurants and pubs to come to, Tacoma is slowly making progress to be a destination for fun and entertainment.

I defy anyone in any city in the US to beat us for the great weather we have in the Summer months!  We also have more water and mountain views from our homes than most any other state.

OK, OK, I am biased.  But we are a great alternative to our sister city to the North of us.

Thanks for sharing your love for the area.  Part of sales that makes a sale possible is when the selling agent or broker is enthusiastic and believes in the product they are selling.

Jim,  I have roots there and a lot of family.  Nice to see it graduating to something other than "the aroma of Tacoma".  I took my mom to the glass museum the last time we were there - impressive.
