For 1st time homebuyers the Virginia Housing Developement Authority (VHDA) has announced the Homebuyer Tax Credit plus. This loan offers a built-in 2nd mortgage which helps cover the down payment and closing costs with Zero Interest and No payments for the first 12 months. This give the homebuyer enough time to receive their tax credit and repay the loan with no cost or penalty.
