The 86th running of the Laconia Motorcycle classic runs through father's day (every year).
Although much of the events are scheduled in the lakes region, we in the north country see many of the travelers as well. They come from near and far to Ride the Kancamagus scenic highway during the annual pilgrimage to the race. The actual race is at Hew Hampshire international speedway in Loudon NH, (the site of two nascar races later in the year).
Here are a few photos of what we see (and hear) every year over the week leading up to father's day.
Weirs Beach boulevard in Laconia NH.
The Beach beauties are bountiful at this event.
The Races are spectacular (from antiques to super bikes)
the country side ride over the "Kanc" is one of the reasons many take this trip you are very likely to encounter a moose or at least a secluded swimming hole in your travels. Just make sure you have plenty of gas this route has no gas stations for 36 miles. It is all national forest, with a huge elevation change during the trip.
