St Augustine was recently named one of ten of the Best Places to live in the United States.  Others are learning about the vast aray of activities that await both residents and visitors to "the nation's longest continually inhabited Europen-founded city in the United States.

Founded in the mid-1500s, this small community of 13,000 residents located on Florida's northeast coast welcomes several million visitors a year.  Activities abound in this historic setting.  Residents and visitors alike are treated to the charm of the area by visiting such landmarks as the Castillo de San Marcos, for example.  This resilient fort has been able to withstand over 300 years of tropical storms and enemy firepower during its history.

The city and areas appeal extends beyond the rich history and lore.  Outdoor activities abound from fishing, kayaking, boating, hiking, swimming, para-sailing, and long walks on the 42 miles of ocean shoreline in St Johns County.  Located nearby is the home of the PGA Players Golf Tournament held at the TPC Sawgrass Golf Course.  Each year tens of thousands of people come to Sawgrass to watch golf greats navigate the infamous and picturesque 17th home of this grand course.

Families appreciate the highly ranked public school system within the county.  Over 25,000 students presently are receiving a high quality education preparing them for the future that awaits them.

Also abdundant is the mild weather and highly educated work force.  Come and visit this 300 year old undiscovered area.  I can be reached at lois@beachbagg.com to answer any questions you may have.
