It was a rainy day in the marsh but this little Red-Winged Blackbird was just hanging out singing his song without a care in the world.  For whatever reason it made to happy to witness his joie de vivre and when I left I found myself Singing in the Rain too.  It was a very pleasant rainy day to be sure :-)

Great bird capture on a cattail.  I love cattails, I usually collect a few in the fall to put with cornstalks

Great capture of the blackbird! Very nice shot, Gail! His beak is not tweaked like mine was- LOL Got a couple replies from the Audubon people, said maybe he flew into a window.... Poor baby! Anyway, this is beautiful my friend!

GAIL: Thanks for sharing your delightful blackbird. It does make a great photo for a frame or for painting on a canvas.

Morning Toula....I always love having you stop in and seeing your lovely face and rose :-)

Hi Eric....the inspiration Birdie just for you!

Hi Caren....I used to love the birds at the feeder, but then the Grackles took over, I mean hundreds of them in the yard....I gave up :(

Hi Katiejo....thanks for stopping by with your coffee.

Yes John....I do believe I heard that song while I was getting the shots...or maybe you placed it in my head....no matter, great song :-)  Happy Fathers Day

Hi Joannie....I love your name, same as one of my sisters.  Thanks so much for your warm comment...always appreciated.

Hi Lou...thank you for the compliment.  I might have to start my own personal art gallery....LOL

Morning Kim....wishing you a wonderful weekend, get out there and enjoy NATURE :-)

Thank you Michael....I will definitely take that as a compliment, I love photography and sharing with you all makes it even better.  Happy Fathers Day.

Morning Diane....I love cattails as well.  I was over visiting Debi Boucher and saw she corrected your name.  It's funny cause I've done the same and caught it....easy mistake with Caron being the first word on your tagline.  Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend.

Donna...you guys in the NE are going to have to build an ARK, it's crazy how wet you've been.  Thanks for commenting on the background, I like how it looks like a painting, gotta love PhotoShop :-)

Morning Debou...Really, Audubon thinks your guy hit a window, goodness, he must have been flying really fast...poor baby for real.  I'm glad you like this shot, I felt it had something as well.  Love the affirmation :-)  Thanks

Hi Kathleen....Thank you so much, thank goodness I'm a better photographer than painter....LOL.  Have a wonderful weekend with your family for Fathers Day.

Hi Gail, Love the red winged blackbird - I can almost hear him!  I like the way he looks so casual hanging onto the cattail.  Great photo, Gail--the colors are just fantastic.

Thanks so much Mary....I thought he looked good hanging out there too.  The colors came out nice, the reds compliment each other, too bad he shook off some rain drops before I snapped.  Shooting in the rain is quite nice :-)
