An extra hour a day falls in your lap.
Squeezed in from the genorosity of Glenda, the good witch that

does not have to worry about houses falling on her. You know, the one that does not wear those striped stockings hanging out from under a cape that spun out of the sky. So as a good
realtor, a community minded volunteer, a great family guy or gal, what do you do with that extra hour a day to use as you like? Excercise? Read the Bible? Date your mate? Do research on line for the parts of
real estate or
banking programs that you are weak in, need to beef up? One extra hour a day to spend as you see fit. What would you do with it? Volunteer at the soup kitchen, the food pantry? Coach a youth team? Write a book, read a book? Use it to nap? Work? Play? Shop? Or to dilute into your hectic multi-tasking jammed daily schedule to ease the stress, slow the pace and ticking clock?
The good news is you do have an extra hour a day to garden, to read to your kids, to volunteer, to garden, work in the shop, under the hood, to bone up on your real estate profession, your relationships.
Where? That extra hour is salt and peppered thru out your day already and frittered. Folks with over eating or over spending habits write down in a book each day to see where the waste is. Do you trace your steps, see habits that drain, waste, are way way unproductive but the way you have always done it? Or were taught to do it when it worked two decades ago before modern devices to shave time, save steps? If you have a habit of stopping into a local coffee shop or diner for that morning coffee and muffin, how long do you linger? We know you are a talker..you like people and are in sales right? But a governor on that mouth, using the two ears more, duct taping the pie hole to be able to get on your merry way, out of that pit stop earlier. Could you visit but shave off a few minutes from that stop? All your stops, showings, closings, listings? The time in a large real estate office or bank that you chit chat, talk talk talk...if you limited yourself to a few less minutes and some days to break the habit around the water cooler or on that long winded phone call, wouldn't that free up some time? Short cuts to write up the offer, put up the sign and take images on the first visit, have the registry of deeds and town card at the onset instead of oh well, I'll go back to get that later.
Asking questions, pre-qualifying before taking a client that has no business looking all over the wild blue yonder with their negative credit rating, pending bankrputcy/divorce proceedings and no mom/dad or rich Uncle Harold to pick up the tab for the thirty seven pieces of real estate they want to look at right now. Procrastinators actually make more work for themselves because they put off doing it right in the first place and then helter skelter hurry at the deadline, making more work, more stress, wasting energy and emotion in the long run. What would you do with your extra hour a day that Glenda dropped in your lap? How would you use it? What do you short change now that you need a little more time to dedicate to for personal satisfaction? Cruise your real estate facilty looking for slack...like UPS, run the tightest ship in the shipping business.
