The following person is "working the area' His e-mail Eaglewolf@aol.com. This is not a real e-mail address.
He is posing as a federal agent, contacting sales agents, and attempting to meet the agent at empty houses. This person is a very real and serious threat to agents in the immediate area.
This "bogus buyer" has been contacting mostly women and some how comes up with personal information and contacts the agents at their home. The e-mail address he is using does not belong to him .
We believe this person contacted one of my agents at home the other morning. We do not publish home #'s. He called her at 7:30 AM in the morning and said he was looking for a home in the Wappingers area and that he could spend $800,000. My agent told him that he would have to meet her in the office at 9:00AM. She would need to see a pre-qual letter and also we would require a copy of his drivers license and the registration for his car. He told her that he would do that. He also told her that he would not be occupying the house but that a friend would be in the house.
It all sounded a little strange. Our plan was to be present with the agent if he arrived at 9:00AM. My partner would go with them if necessary and I would call police. Of course, the plan was to stall him in the office as long as possible.
Because he had to meet the agent in the office, he was a no show. We have no way of finding out about him. He didn't have a phone #. He was coming in from Hawaii.
PLEASE! USE SAFETY.....YOUR LIFE IS MORE IMPORTANT TO YOUR LOVE ONES THAN A HOUSE SALE.
Better to play it safe. We had a predator calling female agents day and night - in one case the agent did meet him at a house for sale - it was vacant. Thank God nothing happened to her but she was really shaken up.
He was later arrested for making nuisance and harassing phone calls but allowed back on the street if he promised not to do it again!!! Guess what, he's doing it again.
