I learned most everything I know from my sons. I imagine that in a few years my little grandson will also be teaching this old dog some new tricks :-)

I completely understand. When I purchased my first PC, it was a grandchild who showed me how to turn it on. Geez.
I am thinking that the term teckie applies to all of those that are getting out of kindergarden and moving into the first grade. It is amazing what YOUNG kids know today about the gadgets we use.

They live in a different world then the one we grew up in. I believe that more information is usually better, even though a lot of the news media spins the news into fiction.
Mike, that's a sweet post. I'm bringing my two granddaughters, 6 and 8 to the island in July for three weeks. Can't wait. My 8 yr. old invited me to a video chat back when she was three. And my almost 2 yr. old granddaughter, well i think she' ready for her first iPhone.
Kids today, are so so smart and amazing. Sounds like you had a great day with your granddaghter.

What a contrast between the technology of the Blackberry and the beauty of the Tucson desert. Sounds like your granddaughter could get an early start on her college fund by freelancing as your tech advisor!
Aren't they refreshing and scary all at the same time? LOL But it's wonderful that at her age she has such a grasp on the technologies that will keep evolving over he lifetime. I'm betting this young lady is destined for great things. :)
Mike- It is amazing what kids know how to do with computers these days. Makes me look forward to the days when my daughter is old enough to show me how to do things on my phone and computer.
God Bless the little ones! It's amazing how fast kids and technology just gel...my 4 year is the same way. She said to me, "that it's okay to mess-up your phone mommy, that is the olny way your going to learn." Cute!

Morning Mike, I was going through some of your blogs and found this sweet one, just had to comment. First of all what a fun day you two had planned. Great photos you've got of her!
Secondly it's truly amazing how those youngins' can figure out all electronics in record time. Last year when my grown daughter visited us she had my husband's satellite radio programmed to 'beep alerts' when all her favorite bands were about to be played. He tried for weeks to figure out to stop that darn thing, LOL!
But it was a nice reminder of her 'those beeps', when she was back in her state :)

We just had a ball together, Miss Hanna and I, on this ride. I take a back seat to most of my grandkids when it comes to new electronics.
