Zoey the Cool Cat has her favorite places to sleep -- six of them to be exact -- and she rotates them every 5-7 days. She generally doesn't like pillows. The number of times that I have found her on a pillow can be counted on one hand.
I also have my favorites, such as my favorite chair to sit in when I'm Playing in the Rain, often with Zoey the Cool Cat on my lap.
This morning, since I have a complicated report to work on, I'm doing 15 minutes of the report and then 15 minutes of ActiveRain so that I can keep my senses. All of my home inspection stuff is on this computer, which has a different chair, which also happens to be the chair that Zoey the Cool Cat likes to sleep on at night.
So here it is at night, Zoey the Cool Cat has eaten and pooped, and she comes into the office only to find me in her favorite chair. Alas, you take my chair, I take your pillow.

And they get so annoyed with us when we move them so we can sit down on our "own" chair. We may have paid for the furntiture but once it is their we don't stand a chance.
Two of my three cats are very much like Zoey in that respect. They have "their" places and don't like change. My other cat either wants a lap or to be hiding under the bed or in the closet.

Hey, Cindy - Zoey the Cool Cat does, occasionally, try to take over my favorite chair, but it ain't happenin'. Sometimes I will scoot her towards the back of the chair and sit down in front of her, but she doesn't like that and eventually gets up and moves to her own chair.
Hey, Silvia - I don't think there is anything fair here. What's Zoey's is Zoey's, and what's mine is Zoey's. Hmmm. Sounds like some of my friends' marriages -- LOL.

Hey, Tammy - I can find Zoey the Cool Cat in certain places at certain times. For example, immediately after she eats, she likes to hide under the bed for about 30 minutes. If she sees me switch from short pants to long pants, she knows that I'm leaving and she'll get up in the window sill to watch me go.
Hey, Caren - Well I'm glad she looked angelic to you. Not so much to me at 4:30 in the morning when my head wants to go to sleep on my pillow.
Hey, Al and Peggy - So you and Zoey the Cool Cat have been doing some covert things it looks like. I thanked her for the Father's Day greeting by taking her outside on the back patio for about 20 minutes. She absolutely loves it out there even though she is restricted to my lap.

Hey, Terry - Many years ago I had a little dog, a basenji/chow mix, Sugar, that used to ride on the back seat of my motorcycle. The longest trip we took was to Tyler to see some Aggie friends. Sugar was good for me, too. In fact, I'm just such a happier person when I have a little furry friend in the house.
