My husband had a great Father's Day.

He carried me around all day, literally.

I fell last night with a platter full of steaks walking to the grill. The steaks stayed on the plate, but I have layed around all day being waited on hand and foot.

I told him I would change days with him. :)Ouch

You sprained your ankle, but you saved the steaks, so I don't think you should have to trade days.  I hope your ankle get's better soon :(

Oh no! Ow! That is a terrible sprain. I just walked some steaks to the grill a few minutes ago and I feel lucky now. I fell down a few stairs and sprained my ankle about six weeks ago. I feel for you. Hope you heal quickly.

Missy - sounds like a good guy there. What a way to spend his Father's Day. But you're worth it. :) Looks painful, though.

Hi Missy...We have two young puppies corralled in the sunroom with a gate that Jim and I are constantly climbing over.  I'm worried that one of these times we're not going to clear the top.

Are you supposed to put steak on a sprained ankle like they would say for a black eye?

Are you sure there's no break?  Be careful and don't rush putting weight on it.  It can take a while to recover from a sprain.

Happy Father's Day to your great hubby!

Just went through this, Missy!  Be sure to keep it wrapped with an ace bandage and STAY off it!  I am sure hubby will understand and you can certainly make it up to him.  Hey, how were the steaks?

Missy,
Sprains can be so painful and take a long time to heal---at least if it is broken, there is something that can be done.

Ouch is right.  I had that happen several years ago and after several trips to the doctor he finally said "You'd have been better off if you broke it.  Breaks heal faster."

Honey, take ibuprofen regularly (every 12 hours if you can)  Don't stop just because it feels better.  It needs to stay in your system to reduce the swelling.

Your hubby is a keeper :-)

I have a permanent bump on my ankle from spraining--and re-spraining--it. So, please, don't walk on it too quickly! The ace bandage definitely helps! Hope you heal quickly.

This is the 3rd time on that ankle, once when I opened our fire place and a racoon was starring at me.

Three years ago when I tripped on a shoe in the laundry room carrying out garbage. At that time, our President of the Board did it too. One other board member broke his. The broken healed and Tim and I were still on crutches, breaks heal faster for sure.

One of the beauties of having a team, although I do have 2 listings to get in today.

Thanks Mike and the kids have been great but if you know me, I HATE laying around. LOL
