I can imagine you are wondering what in the world this is? Well, it is the week-long Basketball Camp put on by the Brecksville -Broadview Hts. Bees Basketball team, with the help of the varsity coaching staff. I think every boy in the Brecksville-Broadview Hts. school district goes to this camp. It is so much fun and the boys pretty much know everyone. Our 8 year old son always talks about the size of the high school players, in particular their shoe sizes!
It is truly an experience watching these kids each summer-this is our third year taking our son. Last year, he did not want anyone walking in with him, just not cool. It is the ol' drop off at the entryway. Apparently it is even cooler when you get dropped off at the same time your friends are and you can all check out each other's basketball shorts and shoes! And they say girls are the fashion divas of society!
The camp runs from 1:00-4:00 Monday through Friday and is so well done and organized. The boys are in groups of 2nd through 3rd grade and 4th through 8thgrade. There are drills, contests, guest speakers, and all around fun. It is such a big deal for our son to be playing in the high school gymnasium. The only thing I am worried about is how fast time goes and pretty soon I will be dropping him off to play a real varsity game! GO BRECKSVILLE-BROADVIEW HTS. BEES!!
