I don't know about you but my animals are shedding up a storm. My note to self is really just a wish. I surely wouldn't trade any of my pack... but, the nightly grooming could be extra time on AR don't you think? Honestly though... I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Mocha, Canine... Catahoula mix. OMG... he sheds every minute.

Chablis, Canine... Lhasa Apso... whooopeee! no shed, but loves to be brushed.

Rebound, Feline Tortoiseshell... another daily shed machine.

Shpeetz, Feline Black Short Hair... not too bad, but a daily endeavor.

Any one else having extra hair around?

We have four dogs and two of them shed constantly. They shed as much on Christmas day as they do the 4th of July. We have tried every lotion, spray, shampoo, and vitamin on the market that states it will help with shedding but none of them did anything to even slow it down.

I have so much dog hair, so I bought a back pack vacum. It works pretty well.

Girl, Rhiannon and I are constantly covered in fur.  It's horrible and I don't know what to do about it.  I must be a fur magnet, too, because I got out of my house furless, got to my sister's house yesterday, and within minutes had her dog on my lap shedding away. My outdoor (feral, spayed) cat looks like your tortie, & I have a giant black cat who is a shedding fool.  : )

Hi Lori,

This year seems to be really bad with the pets shedding more than usual.  The cat's more than our dog.  I use a slicker brush on the cats - it seems to help!  Love the photos of your pet companions!  Their all adorable.  Thanks for sharing.

Both of my dogs don't shed at all. I am very lucky. But, both of my cats make up for it.  I brush them often and it helps.

OMG Lori, sounds like my house!  6 cats, and one low shedding dog, and its a full time job just keeping it under control.  Personally I love leaving the house thinking I am pet hair free, only to notice in the bright sunlight, that there is no such thing!

I carry those roller tape things in both cars, and  my business bag.  I have one chair in the house they don't like and I tell my guests to sit there.  You gotta love dogs to come in my house.  There is a new tool I have seen in the pet stores and at my vets office that is supposed to cut down on shedding but I have not tried it.

Thank you everyone... and thanks for the advice too. We are still chasing fur balls around but we will survive. I keep brushing and brushing. I have thought about spinning yard with some of their under coat fur...  ;))
