If you want to read tweets from the streets of Iran, the Stimulist says these are the hashtags you want:

#iranelection

The article's author also suggests:

So, for now, my location is Tehran.  Hyper-localism can wait.

Very cool. We should help them. This is very important. Lives are at stake.

What an amazing thing Twitter is...who could have imagined it would be used in this way.  You are right, we could help them to be harder to identify.  My prayers are with them in their battle.

The idea that I could be arrested for tweeting boggles my mind. We are so used to our freedoms we take them way too much for granted sometimes. I switched Twitter time zones immediately. I found myself thinking some Mom may have filmed the protest from her kitchen window. YouTube is full of very interesting footage from people from all walks of life.

I love the thought we can protect someone by virtue of our own freedom.  It's a great way to share.

Thank you for posting this.  I wanted to spread this information, and you have done it for me!  Twitter and cell phones are the wave of a new world.  The voices of oppressed people will be heard in the future, as they gain access to technology.  Our world as we know it is changing this week.  And it is a good thing.   Be well.  Elaine Giamona, Broker, Lincoln, CA  http://www.mccoyreo.com

It's amazing to see how the Internet is being used in the fight for freedom.  It's powerful.

Caution: CAT BLOG AHEAD

Including random thoughts on life, art, business, stuff, and occasionally Real Estate.

What is a CAT BLOG?

According to Seth Godin: "Cat blogs are for, by, and about the person blogging. A cat blog is about your cat and your dating travails and your boss and whatever else you feel like sharing in your public diary." Well, I am the boss, my dating years are behind me, but I do love my cats.

Enjoy!
