I have just enjoyed reading a column that I would like to share with you.  It is over at St. George Magazine, and it is written by Brian Passey, who took the photgraphs as well.  Brian takes us along backways such as the Smithsonian Butte Scenic Backway, the Mojave Desert / Joshua Tree Scenic Backway, the Kolob Resevoir Road Scenic Backway, and the Gooseberry-Fremont Road Scenic Backway...all with gorgeous photos.

Brian also takes us along on his byway tour via State Route 18, U.S. Route 89, Old Hwy. 91, State Route 14, and State Route 12...again with exquisite photograpy.

Brian's descriptions make you feel like you're riding along with him...but should that be enough?  NO!  Why not get in your car and pack a picnic to enjoy one of these scenic routes today...  We are so fortunate, living in the St. George, Utah area, to be surrounded by such natural beauty...but we shouldn't take it for granted.  We need to find some way to enjoy it every day!

Hi Steven

I do indeed love living here!  It's the greatest place on earth in my opinion.  I never tire of the beauty that surrounds us.

I am missing Zion.  We used to go camping there every other week but we have only gone once this year (due to everyone being so busy at their job!!!!!!!!!)

We usually bike up the canyon in the wee hours of the AM and then float down the Virgin River in the afternoon.

This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in my life!
